Based in Leyburn, in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales National Park, Premiere Care was founded by Ursula Bussey in 2001, she continued to be involved in the business until shortly before she passed away in August 2021. From our humble beginnings, operating from Ursula’s own home, Premiere Care has grown to a large, independent, family run, home care agency, supporting private clients as well as North Yorkshire County Council and NHS funded clients. Ursula believed in looking after and rewarding our carers well, because if they are happy they will do a great job looking after our clients, these core values continue to be central to how the business is run.

Ursula’s son Nick joined Premiere Care in June 2016, initially training as a Care Coordinator, Nick took over the day to day operations of the company in July 2018. Our Board of Directors also includes Ursula’s daughter Karen Gill, who is our Finance Director, and Ursula’s son Alex, who is our Marketing Director.

We have an excellent Finance Officer in Paula Scott. Paula has a number of clients across Wensleydale and has been working with Premiere Care since 2006.

​

We have a great team of Care Coordinators in the office. Victoria (Tor) Jones is our Senior Care Coordinator and Kelly Clark joined us in October 2022 as a Care Coordinator,  both work full time. They are supported by Vicky Jenkins, who regularly joins the team on a flexible basis to ensure we can meet demand.
